Born in Israel, 1960

 composer, arranger, music producer, guitar player and educator coordinates 

winner of the "Acum" award for original music in 2013

Kobi studied guitar with guitarist and musician Gil Dor.

After graduating from Rimon School, Kobi initiated and played in the ensembles Nofet, Butterfly, talking six, Trialog, Nishmot Hatapooz. Kobi has participated in all the important festivals in Israel, such as the Red Sea Jazz Festival, the Israel Festival, the Haifa Festival. The Cinematheque Festival, the “Arad” Festival and other performances in various settings on large, medium and small stages. He also appeared in the prestigious Tel Aviv Museum of Jazz series, which hosted renowned pianist Paul Blay.

Kobi has recorded albums both as a player and as a composer, in collaboration with Harold Robin, Lezcek Zadlow and Asaf Sirkis . Wrote and composed music for documentaries and animated films, composed for the theatre and performed at festivals around the world including the Suitcase Festival in Bulgaria, Sofia. Kobi is the founder and the leader  of the Common Bond, since 1998 as well as the group's dominant composer and arranger. Performed with the Common Bond at festivals and shows in around the world: Canada, Serbia, South Africa, Croatia, Cyprus, Lithuania, Finland, Estonia, Poland. He also recorded and produced the three albums of the Common Bond. Kobi, has a master's degree in music completed his studies  at the  music Academy in Jerusalem.

As a result of the Corona plague, Kobi created the "kobi shefi free will project" trio playing improvised music influenced by jazz rock, ethnic music, world music and classical music.
